2 militants killed in Shopian encounter in Kashmir

Two militants have been gunned down during an encounter between security forces and militants in south Kashmir's Shopian on Sunday. The gunfight started during a predawn operation by security forces. Reports claim the militants who are trapped include Basharat Ahmad of Nikloora and Tariq Ahmad of Khasipora of Lashkar-e-Taiba group. In the meantime, internet service has been stopped as a precautionary measure.
