31 members of Colombian army fired for sexually abusing minors
31 members of the Colombian army were fired by the higher authorities on Friday for their involvement in the sexual abuse of minors. The army has investigated more than 118 of its members since 2016 after reports of sexual abuse of minors by the soldiers started to emerge. Among the 3 members that were ousted, 12 were sub-officials and 19 of soldiers rank. The fired personnel will face disciplinary and criminal investigations.
