A 5.1- magnitude earthquake struck central Greece on Thursday, but there are still no reports of any damage or injury. The quake struck approximately 240 kilometers northwest of the Greek capital Athens, and about 40 kilometers east of Arta in the west. Greece is situated in one of the world’s most seismically active regions and earthquakes are quite common here, although major damage and fatalities are very rare.
