Arsenic is deadly for most living things, but a group of microorganisms is breathing arsenic in a large section of the Pacific Ocean. Scientists have discovered an ancient survival strategy which is still being utilized in low-oxygen parts of the marine environment. This thing happens below the surface where oxygen is almost absent forcing life to look for other strategies. The regions can expand under climate change.
