Asif Ghafoor, the Director-General of the Inter-Services Public Relations of Pakistan and the Army's spokesperson has been replaced. Major General Babar Iftikhar took over as the new DG ISPR for the Pakistan Army on Thursday. According to the ISPR website, Ghafoor was commissioned on 9 Sep 1988 in 87 Medium Regiment. He was appointed as the DG ISPR in December 2016.
