British couple finds exotic insect in broccoli package

A British couple was stunned to see their package of broccoli that was in refrigerator for more than two weeks had an exotic insect and it was still alive. When they were about to throw it outside they spotted a brightly-colored bug inside the plastic packaging. The insect is a red palm weevil, native to Asia but were accidentally introduced in Spain in 1994, and then spread through the Mediterranean region.
