Dean Elgar equlas world record of carrying bat through a Test innings

A world record has been set by South Africa’s opening batsman Dean Elgar when he carried his bat through a completed innings on the second day of the third Test against Australia. This is the third time in his career that he carried a bat. Earlier, the record was set by West Indies Desmond Haynes which has been equalled by Elgar. Both of the cricketers have set a record of carrying their bats on three separate occasions.
