EC asks IT Dept to conduct neutral, impartial & non-discriminatory pre-poll raids

The EC asks IT dept to inform it about their pre-poll raids that are conducted & insist that the raids remain politically neutral, impartial & non-discriminatory. EC also said in a letter sent, in case of suspected use of illicit money for elections, the Chief Electoral Officer must be kept informed. The letter was sent after the IT team raids at Kamal Nath properties in MP wherein sources say Rs 9 crore was recovered.
