Govt called it "mistaken fratricide" after the shooting down of its own helicopter by the IAF in Kashmir on 27th Feb. A surface-to-air missile of the IAF has shot down the Mi-17 aircraft in Budgam in the Kashmir Valley. This incident killed six IAF personnel on board the chopper and a civilian on the ground. This was developed due to the hostile action by Pak Air Force. The helicopter crashed in Budgam around 10 am.
