Delhi Police personnel to pay twice penalty for a traffic violation

According to an official order, Delhi Police staff will have to pay twice the penalty for breaching traffic rules in the national capital. Parliament enacted the 2019 Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill in July seeking to tighten traffic laws and impose heavy penalties for traffic violations. As the govt of Delhi has not notified the new laws, traffic police staff have issued court challans for traffic violations.
