The 48-hour ban on two Kerala-based news channels, that was imposed on them by the ministry of information and broadcasting over their coverage of the violence in Delhi over the amended citizenship law, has been reportedly lifted. A 48-hour ban was imposed on Malayalam news channels Asianet News and Media One on Friday for as their coverage of the violence in north-east Delhi could “enhance communal disharmony,” as per the ministry.
