Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta has said India is the "highest-ranked G20 country according to the Climate Change Performance Index 2023" and is also the "5th best-performing country globally". The Governor said the ongoing global crisis was both an opportunity and a major test for the G20 which represents 85 per cent of world GDP and 75 per cent of global trade.
