Indian-American Sonia Syngal has been appointed CEO of America's largest apparel retailer Gap the firm's Board of Directors named her, as the company's next chief executive officer, who will take hold of her post on March 23. Earlier Syngal was heading Gap's Old Navy unit since 2016. During her reign, Old Navy expanded its North American presence to more than 1,200 stores in the US, Canada, and Mexico in three years.
