Indore man forced to collect garbage as punishment for defecation in the open

A 30-year-old man was made to collect garbage from the streets as a punishment for defecating openly in Indore city, which has won the cleanest city title for 3 consecutive years. The civic authorities asked him to accompany sanitation workers in a waste collection vehicle and help them in their work for 5 hours. The civic team asked the man to pay a fine of Rs 100 for open defecation, which he failed to do so.
