In a bid to become a carbon-neutral society, the government of Japan has set a 2050 deadline for attaining zero-emissions. This deadline is in line with the country's commitments towards climate change. "We need to change our thinking to the view that taking assertive measures against climate change will lead to changes in industrial structure and the economy that will bring about great growth," PM Yoshihide Suga said.
