To curb the spread of coronavirus; 1/3rd of the world's population was in lockdown, car travel fell by 50%, air travel fell by 75% & industrial activity fell by 35%. Global carbon dioxide emissions fell by nearly 17% as compared to the same period in 2019. But, new research shows that lockdown had a negligible effect on global temperatures. Reduction in different pollutants has a small & temporary influence on the climate.
