According to United States border authorities, nearly 8,800 unaccompanied children have been quickly expelled from US along the Mexico border as a part of a pandemic measure. The children were given asylum by the state authorities in the view of the rapid outbreak of the Covid19 pandemic. Over 159,000 people have been expelled by the Trump administration since the Disease Control and Prevention order took effect in March.
