Over 270 election staff die counting votes in Indonesia elections

The Indonesian elections were one of the world's biggest 1-day ballots, the 1st time the country of 260 million people combined the presidential vote with national & regional parliamentary ballots in order to save money. Some 17 million people were counting & monitoring the votes. More than 270 election workers died due to fatigue-related illnesses caused by long hours of work counting millions of ballot papers by hand.
