Pakistan's government & its spy agency ISI started snooping on its own citizens; authorities accelerate efforts to censor social networks. Offenders can face up to 14 years in prison. In the past 18 months, journalists, activists, govt opponents have faced intimidation or threat of legal action for their online posts. Facebook & Twitter platforms were regarded as the last holdouts of dissenting voices but have changed now.
