The Supreme Court on Friday transferred the Assam coordinator of the National Register of Citizens Prateek Hajela to Madhya Pradesh. However, the court didn't disclose the reason behind its decision. The court has given 7 days to the government to notify the transfer. Some sources claim that the court took the decision as there was some threat to Hajela's life. Hajela is a 1995-batch IAS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre.
