Rajya Sabha marshals lose military-style caps after criticism from ex-Army chief
Marshals in the Rajya Sabha have stopped wearing their peak caps as the first step after the chairman of parliament’s upper House M Venkaiah Naidu ordered for a review of their uniform. The decision was taken after former Army chief General Ved Prakash Malik called the attire illegal and a security hazard. “As I have said, nothing reflects like army. That should be done and the process is on,” Venkaiah Naidu said.
