A disease that still affects people was found in a 66-year-old fossilized dinosaur tail. The shocking discovery was made after a tumour was identified in the vertebrae of a young dinosaur fossil unearthed in Alberta, Canada. After a micro-CT scan of the tail, researchers reconstructed the tumour and identified the disease as Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH), which is a rare condition sometimes termed a cancer.
