Residents in Bengaluru witness a momentous event in the sky this morning when they noticed a 'rainbow-like halo' surrounding the sun. This unusual phenomenon only occurs when the light comes in direct contact with the ice crystals in the atmosphere. And because of its distance from the sun, the 'Halo' appears to have a larger radius. Several photographs have already gone viral on Twitter and other social media sites.
