Scientists find banned drugs in Shrimps in England rivers

Researchers were testing Suffolk river for chemicals & found cocaine, ketamine & other illicit drugs in all freshwater shrimps tested in Suffolk rivers. They were surprised at the findings as they found not only drugs but also banned pesticides & pharmaceuticals were present in the collected shrimp samples. Further research is awaited to find whether the presence of cocaine is an issue for Suffolk or is widespread in the UK.
