Sirhan Sirhan, the Palestinian refugee who assassinated US presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy in 1968, was granted parole by a California parole board on Friday. 77-year-old Sirham has been granted a release for now but the governor can stand or reverse the decision until 30 days from now. The Palestinian refugee is serving a life sentence. He shot down Kennedy at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles on June 5, 1968.
