As per the study by IHME, Seattle, more number of people gets killed by an unhealthy diet than tobacco. Unhealthy diets cause around 11 million preventable deaths globally every year. Smoking has negative effects, but surprisingly a bad diet leads to more deaths than tobacco. The study says that eating & drinking better could prevent 1 in 5 deaths globally. The main risks were too much of salt & too less of whole grains.
