Dragonfish lives in the dark ocean depths and their transparent teeth were a mystery until Wednesday when scientists revealed how these teeth are so clear. They said that their teeth are also made of the same basic material as human teeth but there is a twist. The enamel consists of nanoscale crystals and dentine consists of nanoscale fibers called collagen coated with hydroxyapatite making their teeth transparent.
