Tamil Nadu govt caps Covid-19 treatment charges in private hospitals at Rs 15,000 per day in ICU

Amid the rising number of coronavirus cases, the Tamil Nadu govt capped the charges for COVID-19 treatment in private hospitals at Rs 15,000 per day in ICU across the state and mentioned that nobody can ask for extra payment from the patients. "In ICUs the fee shall not exceed Rs 15,000 and for patients with mild symptoms, the fees must not exceed from Rs 7,500,"Health Minister C Vijayabaskar said in an official release.
