The number of coronavirus cases has been steadily increasing. ICMR's head scientist Dr Raman Gangakhedkar has said there is no evidence of the coronavirus being airborne and it primarily spreads through droplets generated when an infected person coughs or sneezes or via saliva droplets or discharge from the nose. Even the WHO had earlier said that there is no sufficient proof to suggest that SARS-COV2 is airborne.
