US Approved Sale of 'Romeo' Anti-Submarine Choppers to India

The US approved the sale of 24 MH-60R helicopters, nicknamed as 'Romeo' for $2.6 billion to India, to target submarines as China expands in the Indian ocean. The choppers manufactured by Lockheed Martin are designed for hunting submarines & knocking out ships as well as conduct search-&-rescue operations. The proposed sale will strengthen the US-India ties & improve the security of a major defensive partner.
