The world's first Green Ramayana Park has been developed by Uttarakhand’s forest department in Kumaon’s Haldwani area. The park has all the plant species mentioned in Valmiki’s Ramayan and associated with Lord Rama. The plant species originate from six major forest types in India. Lord Rama came across 4 types of forests including Chitrakoot, Dandakarnanya, Panchavati and Kishkindha during his journey from Ayodhya to Sri Lanka.
