40% of budgeted Rs 5.45 lakh crore govt capex released in 5 months: FM

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman informed that the govt's capex plan for the financial year 2019-20 is moving well and 40% of the budgeted Rs 5.45 lakh crores has already been released as of August. She directed that the capital expenditure should be monitored on a monthly basis to ensure there are no slippages. She took stock of the expenditure plans for the next 2 quarters & said about 90% GST refunds of MSMEs are done.
