The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India has banned 54 Chinese apps that pose a security risk to the country. A statement by the ministry stated that these 54 apps allegedly collect sensitive information by obtaining critical permissions from users. The list of banned apps include - Sweet Selfie HD, Viva Video Editor, Tencent Xriver, AppLock and Dual Space Lite, among others.
