Adityanath revives Mayawati's dream Bill

The Yogi Adityanath government is upping its fight against organized crime. According to reports, it is considering passing the Uttar Pradesh Control of Organised Crime Act UPCOCA, on the lines of Maharashtra's MCOCA. The UP government is expected to introduce a bill in this regard and get it passed in both the Houses before seeking presidential approval. UPCOCA was 1st introduced in 2007 by the then CM Mayawati.
