ADR reveals, in new MP Assembly 41% MLAs having criminal cases

The Madhya Pradesh Election Watch and ADR conducted an analysis and said that in MP's newly elected 230-member legislative assembly, 187 MLAs are 'crorepatis', whereas 41% of them are having criminal cases. Going by the party-wise analysis, 84% of BJP MLAs are having assets more than Rs 1 crore followed by Congress (79%), BSP (50%), 1 SP MLA, and 4 independent MLAs. The average asset of each of 84 % BJP MLA is Rs 11.16 crore.
