Ajit Pawar under ED scanner in connection with money laundering case

The troubles for Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh are likely to grow with the Enforcement Directorate finding his links in the 2019 money laundering case of Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank. According to the probe agency, Ajit and his wife Sunetra Pawar are associated with M/s Sparkling Soil Pvt Ltd which holds majority shares in Jarandeshwar Sugar mills Pvt limited, the firm that bought Jarandeshwar SSK in 2010.
