The allies of Alexei Navalny, a key critic of The Kremlin and Russian President Vladimir Putin, have claimed that Navalny has lost 8 kg inside the prison due to sleep deprivation and other issues even before he started the hunger strike in demand of proper medical care. However, the prison authorities have defended themselves while adding that the opposition leader was treated fairly inside the prison.
