Amit Shah releases BJP's manifesto for West Bengal election

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday released the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) manifesto for the Assembly polls in West Bengal. In the manifesto, called 'Sonar Bangla Sankalp Patra 2021', the saffron party promises to implement the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Act, reservation for women in government jobs, aid to farmers, among other benefits. Voting for the eight-phase election is due to begin next week.
