Australia's parliament debates on motion to condemn human rights violation by China in Xinjiang

In a move that may not go down well with China, the Australian parliament condemned the violation of human rights by China in the Xinjiang region in a debate. "The most egregious, systematic abuse of human rights in the world is occurring in Xinjiang," said Kevin Andrews, a lawmaker of Australia's ruling Liberal party while referring to the harassment of the minority Uighur community that mainly resides in Xinjiang.
