Ban on Donald Trump over Capitol Violence upheld by Facebook
The ban on account of former US President Donald Trump by Facebook, which was imposed in view of US Capitol violence, has been upheld. “Indefinite penalties of this sort do not pass the international smell test,” oversight board co-chair Michael McConnell said. While the ban will continue for now, an indefinite ban is highly unlikely. The board said it was perfectly right in suspending Trump’s account four months ago.
