Belarus's key opposition leader Maria Kolesnikova who joined opposition presidential candidate Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya to lodge a protest against the government was detained while trying to cross into Ukraine. The information regarding Kolesnikova's detention was shared by border officials. The opposition leader was held with two other members of the opposition's Coordination Council who were able to pass through to Ukraine.
