Biennial elections for 18 Rajya Sabha seats on June 19, counting of votes the same day

The Election Commission on Monday announced Rajya Sabha binennial polls for 18 seats. The polling to these seats, which were deferred due to the coronavirus COVID-19, will now be held on June 19. Out of these 18 seats, four each are from Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat, two from Jharkhand, three each from Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and one each from Manipur and Meghalaya. The counting of votes will be held on the evening of June 19.
