BJD to form new committee to study new farm laws amid growing protests

With the growing protests by farmers against the newly passed farm laws, CM Naveen Patnaik-led Biju Janata Dal government has decided to form a committee of MLAs, MPs and leading farmer leaders to study the provisions of the new laws. "I would like to assure the farmers that their welfare will be paramount in any of our interventions,” Patnaik said. Odisha CM is bringing 2 bills that are a replica of Centre's two Farm Bills.
