China announces measures to counter US sanctions list

In response to fresh sanctions of Chinese goods and Chinese companies such as telecom giant Huawei, Beijing has implemented a mechanism enabling it to restrict foreign entities. China's Ministry of Commerce announced punitive measures, which may include fines, restriction of business activities and investment in China, and the entry of personnel or equipment into the country, in response to Washington's sanctions.
