China urges United States, Germany and Britain to cancel conference on Uyghurs
The Chinese administration has urged United States, Germany and Britain to cancel a scheduled video conference on Beijing's crackdown on the Uyghur Muslim minority. Beijing has also called on other UN nations to not attend the meeting. China says the conference "is based on sheer lies and political bias". China also slammed US for declaring the treatment of Uyghurs in Xinjiang province as a "genocide."
