Civil Aviation Ministry will financially support Air India

Due to the failure of divestment plan for the debt-ridden Air India, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha has said that government will provide support to the airline for its financial or liquidity requirements. A plan to sell a stake in Air India will also be reviewed. Market conditions are being studied to formulate an alternative divestment plan and an appropriate decision will be taken.
