Before stepping down as Prime Minister of UK, Theresa May has enshrined a new law to commit zero net carbon emission by 2050. With this UK become the first one among G7 nations to legislate for zero net emissions. The 2050 target does not require a vote from the MP s, and it is an ambitious goal set by a major polluting nation. France and smaller countries like Finland and Norway have also proposed for zero net emissions.
