The condition of Maldives speaker of parliament and former president, Mohamed Nasheed, who got injured in a bomb attack outside his home, is said to be critical. According to the hospital authorities, Nasheed was placed in critical care on Friday itself. While no group has taken the responsibility for the attack, the island that is a popular holiday destination, has been facing Islamist militant violence for quite some time now.
