Individuals distressed by the rights of workers covered under the MNREGA Act has appealed to the Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar regarding the revision of the wage rates this year for 2018-19. It has been confirmed that these rates are lesser than even the minimum wages in the 29-states union territories. Tripura is experiencing the greatest difference of 58% of state minimum wage for agriculture.
