As Bhartiya Janta Party's central leadership gears up for cabinet expansion, eight states have got new governors in a major shuffle. Union Minister Thaawarchand Gehlot, who was also the BJP's Rajya Sabha leader, has been named the governor of Kolkata. PS Sreedharan Pillai, the Governor of Mizoram, will now assume the role of governor of Goa. Satyadev Narayan Arya, Haryana Governor, has been transferred to Tripura.
